I wanted to update you on Mallory. She fit in with our family the minute she walked into the door. I attached photos of her on the boat and all three of them playing together in the water. Truman and her love going out on the boat to the private beach area by our house to play in the water. Thank you again!
This was New Year's Eve Weekend!
Oreo is doing better each day. She ate her first treat today (frosty paw)
and played with a ball the first time today also.
She's sleeping on her doggie bed that a friend bought her as a gift.
Also, she's learning to go through the dog door (hesitantly). She's also
learning to go to the bathroom outside in the yard - yeah!
ROCK ON and Happy New Year! Thanks! Colleen

Hi Amber!
Chico is doing Great! He is a very well behaved fellow and fitting right in. I don't see how anyone could have given him up. I attached a photo of Tammy doing a little sit-stay training with Ricky and Chico.
Regards, Ed
Hi Amber,I have attached three pictures...Ozzie NOT on the sofa, Ozzie NOT digging up my bed and enjoying his stuffed squirrel. He is having a ball. He is training me well....and life is good. He did take a jaunt down the road about two miles with me following him.....tail waving ears perked and having a blast checking to make sure I was still behind him....the landscaper had left the gate open, and now Ozzie checks the gate every time he goes out. He is crazy over squirrels....and jumps so high on the big oak tree in the back to catch them that I think someday he will actually climb it! He wakes me daily for his walk, and he has quite the number of friends on the way...including a big yellow lab named Sam and a black shepherd named Wendy. He sits by me while I am working at home, and is like a velcro dog...he gets nervous when he can't see me, and I think it is going to take him a little while to realize that he really is home. He is a goof ball, and I spend a lot of time laughing at him, and in the morning he gives me little tiny kisses when I wake up.In short, I don't know how I could live without this goober!I'll keep you posted.Nancy11-10-2006
Hey Amber!
Things are going great over here. I would like to Skye is a perfectly
behaved little angel, but we'd both know I am lying! She's come such a
long way. She's entirely too smart for her own good and has picked up
on a whole bunch of tricks. She loves to try and jump the gun and roll
over or shake before we give her the command.
She loves to run. She always gets so excited and hyped up when i am
putting on my shoes and running stuff. She used to be REAL bad about
chasing squirrels and cats when we were out, but she's toned down and
usually listens when i tell her to leave it. Stupid hot summer weather
is keeping our runs easy and short so I dont over heat her, but when it
was cooler out, she would easily run for an hour and finish with energy
left over! Couldnt ask for a better running partner. Days I dont
really feel like running, she doesnt let me get away with slacking.
She comes in and nudges me and whines a little to get me going.
The other family dogs have accepted her and my parent's german shephard
has gained a play pal. Qupid was really jealous at first but has
warmed up a lot and now instigates the playing. Skye's WAY to fast for
Qupid, though! She's a speeding bullet!Charles, Mindy, and Skye

Hi Amber!
Just want to say thank-you so much for Riley. He has definitely become a special part of our family. He made himself at home right from the start as if he knew he had found his family. He and Buddy are best friends and I can't get over the way he and Drew have taken to each other. He loves the kids and the cats and has his own couch!! Thank you for all the time and love you put into helping these guys and again thank you for Riley.

Jesse (right)
Hi Amber,It's been a while since I let you know how things are going with Jesse. She is wonderful. She has become a silly, happy little girl. Loves to crawl around the yard ( and my bed) on her belly, kicks up her legs in the air, chases flies and goes with me to school almost every day (after dismissal), runs into my other colleague's rooms to visit them. When I get home from school, she gives me kisses and talks to me. We go for a 30 min. walk every morning and she now runs back and forth to the door until I get there. We've met many other dogs on our walks and she's a perfect lady. She especially likes Bubba, a little long-haired Dachshund we see almost every day. She can't wait to see him and even directs me to his house. I took her to the beach in North Carolina with me this summer on my vacation and she walked along on the beach, letting her feet get wet, although she didn't go in the water. She is the best passenger in the car. We've made many trips also to Tallahassee and she's the best.I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to be her Mom. I cannot imagine my life without her. (Sorry, no new pictures. She won't let me take any of her)Lynn11-10-2006
Amber,Zack is settling in better than I could have hoped. He's still a bit skittish, but that is disappearing rapidly. Today we are going to start with some much needed leash work. He went to the beach in Ft. Pierce last week and loved it. He's a really good swimmer in the ocean and the lake, but the pool doesn't do it for him except the top step which he has claimed as his. He will now swim out into the middle of the lake with Kokanee to fetch. He'll be getting his first taste of "school" next month.
Thanks for all you do for bc rescue.Pam
Amber, Hi! Buzz is doing well. We think he has finally found his place in the family. He loves to be outside, and is starting to get involved in the basketball games sometimes. He loves to chase voices down the fence line and jump up to take a look. He still does the puppy hop stuff when he is excited. He eats bird seed and peanuts if they are out low for squirrels, including in the hanging feeders. He isn't generally allowed on furniture, but once in a blue moon he gets up on my bed to lay on top of me and say good morning! Just thought I'd let you know how things are going. We love him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kelly
Hi Amber, sorry it has taking so long to get in touch. We have been so busy with our new business. As you can see we call Quinn, Quincy, and he is the star of the family. It is like he has always been with us:) I do a lot of work here at home and he is always right there with me. He loves staying outside with us when we are in the yard or just working in the garage. He loves to play ball or jump for the Frisbee. I don't know how we ever got along with out him. Having him as a part of our family is the best thing that we could of ever hoped for. Thanks so much for all you do with the rescue, with out you we may have never had Quincy has our new son:)Lots of luck,Pam, Bruce, Joe and Quincy

Dear Amber,
As you can see from the pictures, Molly is a big important part of our family. She has come along way and is now a happy bouncy dog. We traveled with her to Northern Minnesota, where she met another Border Collie and learned lots, how to swim and chase. We had a great time! She loves to ride in boats and cars and visit friends. She has also been to both Florida coasts and Detroit, Michigan. She is well behaved and minds when given instructions. We have only heard her bark a few times. We took her herding last week- she did fairly well and she really loved it. I'm sure we are giving her as much joy as she is giving us.
We will look forward to a get-together.
Nancy, Bernd, and Molly
Dear Amber and all my Rescue Buddies,
