Skyway Border Collie Rescue, Inc.

Available Border Collies

Are you interested in adopting a BC? Here are some steps you need to take: First, Read the "BC Info" link and all links off of it. Then email us for an application and contact us if you have not heard from us in 72 hours. From there we will schedule a home visit and arrange for you to meet a BC. In most cases the adoption fee is $200.00, however, this fee may vary. Please feel free to ask us the adoption fee of a BC and any other information you need to know about our rescue group.

All of our adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and micro-chipped. If you are interested in adopting a dog please email us for an application, home checks are also required. Please contact Amber at skywaybcrescue@hotmail.com or 727-871-2817 with any questions.

Our goal is to match you with the best BC. We strive to make our adoptions ones that will be the dog's forever home. By filling out an application it gives us a better idea as far as what BC would best fit your lifestyle.  Since we only house a few dogs at a time it is possible that we may not have the perfect match for you at the very moment you inquire. However, we do keep a list of those people who are looking for a particular kind of dog. We also have contacts with other rescue groups and animal shelters in the area that may the right match for you. We will contact you once that particular dog becomes available.  Please respect our judgment on what dog would best fit your lifestyle. Also keep in mind that we have a busy schedule outside of border collie rescue. We work full time jobs and compete with our own borders frequently. We will do our best to make the adoption process as time efficient as possible. Thank you for your consideration.

Can't find the border collie that you are looking for? Lizzy was found as a stray and held by a family for a few weeks before they decided they couldn't keep her, so we don't know a whole lot about a her past. She wasn't even dropped off with a name :( Lizzy is a senior girl who is looking for a calm home to live out her golden years. We estimate Lizzy to be 10 years old. Since border collies typically live to be 12-14 years old, she still has some quality time to spend with someone who is willing to give her a chance. She is good with other dogs, although she prefer they give her her space. She is approx 38 lbs. Adoption fee $50.
